September and the harvest continues…

We made Apple Butter the last two Sundays on the farm. Processed five batches and canned 58 half pints! The apples growing along the fence rows have been very plentiful this year. The peppers, both hot and sweet, are ready for market and we’re still digging potatoes. Cover crop seed is being planted as the potatoes are dug, ensuring fertile soil next growing season.
